After everyone left we enjoyed the rainy day.

Father's Day

On Sunday we celebrated Father's Day at our house with both Dad's in attendance. My brother has been having the Mother's Day meal and I have been looking after Father's Day.

Three dogs...

I was surprised but Yogi is getting along quite well with the puppy. Basil is more comfortable with Yogi than Archie because he is smaller.



It took a bit of adjusting but as you can see from the photo that Archie and Basil and settling down together. Archie has to learn that he cannot play with the puppy yet. He is just too big for the little puppy! Poor Archie, he doesn't mean harm but just wants a new friend.

New Foster Puppy

Ah... Crazy me... I just can't help myself.

I found out about New Hope Dog Rescue last year. Once I convinced Kevin that we should have a foster dog, we signed up and then we waited and waited. We signed up to be foster parents about the same time we started renovations so we waited to clean up the house a bit before we took our first foster dog. Our first foster dog was Tilly. Tilly came to us last year (November) and she was about 4 months old when we got her. We had her for two months before she found her permanent home. Last weekend we volunteered to transport another New Hope dog, Snoopy, to Rosetown. This was not a good idea because it just made us want to foster again! Anyways I picked up Basil yesterday. I love to scrapbook!

These photos were taken December 2000. I love these photos together on a page because you can see the special bond the siblings have. They have many stories of how they would terrorize each other as they were growing up. But even though they would terrorize each other they had many fun times and when together cannot help but get goofy!

Archie and Yogi

My two dogs... Archie is a two year old standard poodle and Yogi is a three year old toy poodle cross. They are great dogs. Yogi is the boss and Archie is our gentle giant.

Handy Husband

I was quite surprised when Kevin mentioned that he was going to build a stand for the hammock. I didn't have the same vision that he had but he was quite excited about the job. He sketched his plan, headed out to Home Depot and a beautiful hammock stand was made a few hours later! It is so comfy and excellent to lounge around in...
