Our Day

I haven't blogged in a while so today I thought I would show you what we did in photos.

This afternoon we put a Great Big Sea CD in the DVD player.


I started to make supper. I made shepherd's pie. This is the first time I have ever made shepherd's pie. We were happy with the recipe and will have to make it again sometime.


While listening to the music Dolan was chillin' in his swing.


And Yogi was sleeping on our bed.


And Archie was having fun outside on this cold day. I called him so I could take his photo as well and he came running.


Notice the pee stains on the snow. That is from the really cold days when Yogi goes outside for two minutes and then comes right back in.


Dolan tired of the swing pretty quickly so it was time for the Mei Tai. Kim borrowed us this carrier until I can make one of my own.


I continued making supper but this time with Dolan's help :)


Sorry... I can't continue this exciting story because Archie wants out. 'Till next time...

First Video

Today we shot our first video of Dolan. It was 9:45 P.M. and Dolan was getting quite excited while laying on the floor. I shot the video but the hockey game was on the t.v. so I muted the t.v. and started a new video. He was just having a great time giggling and flailing about.

Christmas

Here are some Christmas photos. Christmas Eve was spent with my family in Martensville. Christmas Day was with Kevin's family in Regina and Boxing Day was in Martensville with my Mom's family.

Christmas Pictures

I wanted to share some Christmas photos but they didn't get transfered to the PC yet. So instead I thought I would share a random cute Dolan photo. Dolan is sleeping now so I am going to take advantage of that and head to bed myself :) Happy New Year everyone and you will hear back from me again soon.

New Hope Dog Rescue

I have always wanted to have foster children but Kevin just wasn't interested in the idea. He was able to compromise and instead we had two foster puppies. We received our foster puppies from New Hope Dog Rescue. This is a local organization that is volunteer run and nonprofit. The dogs are either given up by their owners or slated for euthanasia at a local animal shelter. The foster dogs are looked after by volunteers in their homes until a permanent home can be found. Petfinder is the major advertising that New Hope uses.

Both Tilly and Basil are now in wonderful homes.

More Milestones

Today my sweet baby sat up. Not 100% on his own but enough to make me proud :) He was laying down on his back and trying so hard to sit. He grabbed my fingers and with just a little bit of help sat up. He only did it by himself for a moment but it was such a great moment. He thought it was so much fun, he wanted to do it again and again.

P.S. The sunglasses are from Justin and the outfit is from Stephanie. Thanks guys, he sure does look cool :) Look at his belly bulging through the shirt...

Love You Forever

Tonight I read "Love You Forever" by Robert Munch to my son. I have read this story many times but today it made me cry and I almost couldn't finish the last page. I guess it just has a greater meaning now. If you haven't read this story yet, I highly recommend it.

First Santa Photo

Today was Kevin's work Children's Christmas Party. We went to the Fun Factory. Dolan didn't even wake up for his photo with Santa. Doesn't he look so relaxed!!!
